As I read about the frigid northeast and midwest, I think that we are in the tropics by comparison. It is actually WARM today, as well as sunny and calm. Wish you were here...

I have been far too busy sunbathing to sit at a computer and tap tap tap. It is GORGEOUS in these parts - blue sky, no wind. Is it warm? Weeelllll, it IS January.

Happy New Year's Eve

Remember: this is amateur night, so if you have to be out and about, be careful! Also remember that the only surefire remedy for a hangover is time. Why not spend some of it at the beach, watching the waves roll in, contemplating your future and taking a long nap bewtween games. Oh, the weather? Normal. Nothin' much goin' on.

Home again, Home again, Jiggedy Jig

Alas, I have not deserted you for sunnier climes - just in Seattle having Christmas with family. Today in CB there is a great big "sucker hole" of blue sky, no snow, no ice, no wind - just business as usual for early winter. Leave all that dirty snow behind and come and take a walk on the beach.

What can I tell you...

that you don't already know? We have no argument with the media coverage our winter weather is getting. Everybody is right on; it's the pits. Actually, this morning the sun was shining on three inches of fresh powder snow - and if you've never seen snow on the beach or Haystack Rock - you are in for a treat. By afternoon, it was slushy and now, early evening, it's turning to ice. PHOOEY!

The sky just turned dark gray and it is raining ICE. Stay home, hunker down with a good book and we'll see you another day...
